International summer camp in Edinburgh has already started and our adventures has begun!

Camp day 1: Trip to Glasgow. We visited Tall Ship which is one of only 5 surviving sailing ships built on the River Clyde which is world famous for shipbuilding. This was followed by a visit to the Riverside Museum which tells the story of Glasgow through the ages and has reconstructions of old Glasgow streets.

Our afternoon tea we had at the famous Willow Tea Rooms which were designed by Glasgow’s famous architect Charles Renee Mackintosh. There we had a workshop and we were introduced to the wonderful designs associated with Mackintosh, tried a stenciling technique.

Erudito licėjus is looking for a new team member – Music Teacher!

Erudito licėjus is looking for a new team member – Music Teacher! Erudito Licėjus, located in the heart of Kaunas Old Town, continues to expand and is looking for new team members to start from September 2019.
Our modern facilities and innovative approaches this September will accommodate around 300 pupils (aged between 6 and 16 years old) and 50 staff. The institute is a registered Cambridge International School, a candidate school for the IB Diploma programme, and an active member of Thinking Schools International. Our educational philosophy focuses on a quality learning process and excellent learning outcomes. We seek to develop personalities who are keen to learn, can both lead and be lead, are able to create, and are motivated to thrive. If you are an innovative educator who gives priority to integrated education and active learning methods – or if you want to take part in the growth of a modern school and enhance yourself professionally together with a like-minded and diverse group – then we are looking forward to you joining our school community.

Why Teachers Want to Work at Erudito Licėjus

Erudito Licėjus is the school that encourages personal growth and is flexible to embrace changes. Currently including around 15 per cent of international staff and 20 per cent of pupils with international backgrounds, we are an ambitious school that looks to grow into the first international school in the Kaunas region in the next few years, currently going through exciting and major transformations.
As a small and new school, internal communication is non-hierarchical and relationships between colleagues are supportive. With four major staff outing events and three staff training during the shorter term breaks, members of staff are highly involved in every process of the shaping of school life- from the revision of educational philosophy, to create applications based on both local and international curriculum, and the brainstorming and implementation of new ideas etc. All teachers are members of at least on Work Group in various developmental processes, and therefore are also highly encouraged and supported for professional developments and further studies.

Why choose an international education in Kaunas for your child?

One of the things I appreciate the most growing up nomadically between countries and different types of schools (with my family behind a typical story of the world’s globalized workforce), is my genuine appreciation in people’s difference as a professional expat myself now. As I entered the field of education both as a researcher and an administrator, it intrigues me how my eagerness and ability to work with diversity allows me to keep updated with new- sometimes contradicting- perspectives, but nevertheless, aids my flexibility to stay open to new possibilities.

All education institutions claim to employ different teaching approaches and a curriculum that influence young personalities to be curious and capable lifelong learners. However, what I really would like to touch on, is the importance of an infused international-mindedness during a child’s upbringing through multi-cultural settings. So, you’re a family in Kaunas, not really having plans to move overseas, why should you consider sending your child to an international school locally? Here are a couple of reasons why we think sending your child to an international school might just be one of the best ideas there is!
