Vilnius Erudito Lyceum, together with the Institute of Asian and Transcultural Studies at Vilnius University, invites primary and secondary students to take part in the cultural week “Let’s Discover Asia”!

Throughout the week, students will participate in creative workshops, language lessons, and interactive activities designed to immerse them in the cultures of India, Turkey, Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, and the Arab world.

This initiative was born from a desire to deepen students’ understanding of the rich diversity of Asian cultures — both traditional and contemporary. Through dance, language, art, and games, this week aims not only to introduce different cultures but also to highlight their influence on the modern world. Representatives from various embassies will also take part in the activities!

May 12 – India Day

• Classical Indian dance

• Hindi language workshop

• Henna (mehndi) workshop

May 13 – Middle East Day

• Arabic language and script

• Turkish culture and language workshop

• Introduction to Arab cultures

May 14 – Korea & Japan Day

• Japanese language and origami workshop

• Lectures on sushi culture, K-pop, and Korean cuisine

• Korean language session

May 15 – China & Taiwan Day

• Chinese characters and spoken language

• Chinese paper-cutting and bracelet weaving

• Taiwanese food and drink culture

May 16 – Virtual Kahoot Knowledge Quiz
