Andrius Romaška
Andrius was driven through life by his passion for science and art from an early age. It is reflected by his studies – BSc in Mathematics (Vilnius University, Lithuania) and MA in Electronic and Computer Music (University of Leeds, United Kingdom).
In his scientific & educational career, Andrius had a chance to take various positions at the top educational institutions of the world – he worked as an Educational Applications Developer at University of Oxford (United Kingdom), Educational Technologist at European University Institute (Italy), etc. While his artistic approach mainly focuses on contemporary Celtic Music – Andrius combines Scottish Bagpipes, Tap Dance, Music Technology in extremely creative ways (for instance, https://youtu.be/cNMny_nl0_I or https://youtu.be/bSbVv0BLM3I).
Andrius is constantly sharing his thoughts about mathematics, music, technology and education in various cultural journals, news portals of Lithuania. In 2024, his efforts were recognized by the highest body of culture in Lithuania – Lithuanian Council for Culture – Andrius was awarded with a “Young Artist” scholarship, to release and publish his first book “Mathematical Vocabulary of Life”.
