Giedrė Vilkaitė-Gürsoy

Giedrė is a Primary Years Programme teacher of the International Baccalaureate (IB PYP), who has accumulated 5 years of experience working in a private international school in Turkey. Giedrė believes that this pedagogical experience is valuable in creating a warm, nurturing, and empathetic classroom atmosphere where students can thrive academically and emotionally. Having earned her bachelor’s degree in English Philology from Kaunas University of Technology, Giedrė later completed her master’s studies in Media Philosophy, deepening her knowledge of communication and media at the Integrated Communication program at Vytautas Magnus University. Her journey into education led her to obtain an IB PYP teacher certification. She dedicates a lot of attention to children’s emotional intelligence, language learning, and reading skills, actively participating in workshops and continuously improving her qualifications in these fields. The teacher embodies values that are highly important to our community – respect for every student, regardless of their background. Her aim is to create a safe and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and heard. Giedrė’s teaching style is communication-oriented, ensuring that each student’s ideas are heard and understood.
