Milda Šerėnaitė
Milda graduated in Italian Philology and English Linguistics from Vilnius University. Through the Erasmus exchange program, she studied for a year at the University of Parma. She is particularly interested in intercultural communication, different cultures, and learning foreign languages. This passion for languages led her to choose the profession of a teacher and translator. Milda has been teaching English and Italian for five years now. After gaining some work experience in Lithuania, she went to Italy to study for a master’s degree in Translation and Linguistics at the University of Pisa. This experience was followed by a translation internship at the European Parliament. Besides Italian and English, Milda also speaks French. She believes that knowing languages opens doors to a wider world.
She holds the view that it is crucial to establish a connection with students first and that learning a foreign language becomes easier when their interest in the culture of the countries where the language is spoken is awakened.
