Peter Venables

Peter Venables was born in the West Midlands of England. He completed his undergraduate degree in English Literature through the Open University and a master’s degree in Contemporary Literature and Culture at Birkbeck, University of London. He is currently a PhD candidate at Birkbeck, University of London where he is researching the connections between 20th century literature, history, and critical theory. He has taught in Further Education colleges as an English Language and Literature teacher in the United Kingdom for the past six years, and has taught in Slovakia, Poland and Germany. He is interested in culture and politics, literature and cinema, and enjoys running, hiking and swimming.
