Sarah is a primary school teacher from the United States with a passion for educating young learners. She began her international teaching career seven years ago at an IB PYP school in China and has been dedicated to fostering curiosity and a love of learning ever since. <\/p>\n\n

Sarah believes in creating a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued as an important member of the learning community. She is passionate about teaching children to read, grounded in the Science of Reading, and delivers structured literacy instruction that helps students confidently unlock the code of the English language. <\/p>\n\n

In the classroom, Sarah fosters a strong sense of community, encouraging students to build meaningful connections while developing their social-emotional skills. She embraces the IB philosophy, empowering students to use their voices, make choices, and take ownership of their learning. <\/p>\n\n

Play-based learning is at the heart of Sarah\u2019s teaching. She knows children learn best when they are actively engaged and having fun. Her classroom is a lively, hands-on environment where students inquire, experiment, and expand their knowledge through exploration and play. <\/p>\n\n

Beyond the classroom, Sarah is an avid traveler and cultural explorer. Having visited all seven continents and nearly 50 countries, she brings a rich global perspective to her teaching. These experiences have deepened her international-mindedness and allow her to connect meaningfully with students from diverse backgrounds. She loves sharing her journeys and stories with her students and the wider learning community.
