Thomas Bertin is a French teacher from Normandy, France, whose passion for languages and education has shaped an international and multidisciplinary career.<\/p>\n\n
After spending an Erasmus year at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, where he first worked as a French language assistant, Thomas pursued scientific studies, earning degrees in biochemistry, neuroscience, neuropsychology, and a PhD in physiology and neuroscience. He then worked in cognitive neuroimaging research before deciding to follow his true vocation: teaching. <\/p>\n\n
His teaching career began in M\u00e1laga, Spain, where he taught French in two primary schools. Returning to France, he worked in primary education, including with children with special educational needs, before specialising in Teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE). He completed professional training with CAVILAM Alliance Fran\u00e7aise in Vichy and later obtained a Master’s degree in FLE from the University of Artois. Since then, he has taught French to a wide range of learners, from newly arrived international students in secondary schools (UPE2A) to adults and parents of pupils through the OEPRE programme. His international experience also includes teaching assignments with the Alliance Fran\u00e7aise in Kyrgyzstan and Mexico. <\/p>\n\n
Since 2024, Thomas has been teaching in Lithuania, where he has worked with the French Institute of Lithuania during the Month of Francophonie and has taught in several partner institutions, including Dobkevi\u010diaus Progimnazija, LSMU Gymnasium and Vytautas Magnus University.<\/p>\n\n
From September 2026, Thomas joins Erudito Lic\u0117jus while continuing to teach at Dobkevi\u010diaus Progimnazija and Vytautas Magnus University, where he works with students from the Institute of Foreign Languages, the Faculty of Education and the Academy of Music.<\/p>\n\n
Thomas is delighted to have made Lithuania his home and is passionate about sharing the richness of the French language and the diversity of French-speaking cultures.
