    Andrius Romaška

Computer Science and Information Technology Teacher Vilnius
    Andrius Romaška

Since childhood, Andrius has been driven by a passion for both science and art. This is reflected in his chosen studies – a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at Vilnius University and a Master’s degree in Electronic and Computer Music at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.

Throughout his academic and educational career, Andrius has had the opportunity to work at some of the world’s leading scientific institutions: as an educational app developer at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, an educational technologist at the European University Institute in Italy, and more.

Andrius’s creative journey is rooted mainly in modern Celtic music – he weaves together the Scottish bagpipe, step dance, and music technology in highly original ways (you can listen here: https://youtu.be/cNMny_nl0_I or https://youtu.be/bSbVv0BLM3I).

He regularly shares his insights on mathematics, music, technology, and education in Lithuanian cultural journals and news portals (for example: https://www.delfi.lt/kultura/naujienos/asmenybes-link-su-euklido-geometrija-matematiko-uzrasai-apie-gyvenima-ir-muzika-84312727). In 2024, Andrius’s work was recognized and honored with the “Young Artist” grant from the Lithuanian Council for Culture. A. Romaška has published a book titled “A Mathematical Dictionary of Life.”

All these experiences and his unique skill set enable Andrius to create exceptional learning experiences. Those who wish to get to know Andrius as both a teacher and a creator are invited to visit his online home: https://vienozmogausrespublika.lt/.
