Beth Roberts
Beth has taught in international schools in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan. She studied Art Education and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Later, she obtained her Master’s degree in Education. “I really love art and sharing this passion with others,” says B. Roberts.
A professional teacher with extensive experience, Beth is a trained PYP, MYP, and DP Visual Arts educator. She has initiated artist-in-residence programs and participated in professional teacher training at the Ringling College of Art and Design in the United States. She is also a member of the Asian Regional Art Educators Association (ARARTE) and has organized student art exhibitions at the Australian Consulate in Singapore.
B. Roberts possesses an extensive range of multimedia visual arts skills, techniques, and theoretical knowledge. Her expertise includes:
Printmaking: etching, engraving, linocut, screen printing
Sculpture: assemblage, clay slab/hand-building, kiln work, plaster casting, wire
Painting: watercolor, acrylic, ink, oil
Mixed Media: textiles, media combinations, image transfer
Drawing: observational skills, contour/gesture drawing
