Evelina Žygaitė
At Vytautas Magnus University, in the Teacher Training Institute of the Education Academy, Evelina earned a Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education Pedagogy and obtained a teacher’s qualification. Later, at Mykolas Romeris University, she completed a Master’s degree in Social Sciences with a specialization in Child Rights Protection.
Evelina gained her teaching experience working in the field of preschool and pre-primary education with children of different ages from diverse linguistic, ethnic, cultural, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds, as well as with children who have special educational needs.
Over the years, she has come to understand that the most important role of a teacher
is to ensure each child’s individual learning success and well-being, while also building close and respectful relationships with the children and creating a warm, trustworthy, safe, friendly, and motivating environment. It is essential not only to be able to organize inclusive education that addresses different children’s learning needs, but also to recognize and value students as unique individuals with their own qualities and life experiences.
