Goda Sinkevičiūtė
Lithuanian language and literature teacher. I am a fourth-year student at Vytautas Magnus University and have been teaching for two years. Before that, I worked as a private tutor for a year. I discovered myself as a teacher at school by applying new methods – the kind I missed when I was a student myself. It is rewarding to see students’ interest and to sometimes turn simple things into the center of attention and curiosity.
For me, it is important that students not only understand my subject well but also become genuinely interested in it – just as I once did. I am constantly learning new things myself, so I know that unfinished work does not always mean resistance or unwillingness. Being young, I get along with students very well and understand them, as I was in their place not so long ago.
