This year, the students of the primary school at Erudito Lyceum completed their first inquiry theme under the International Baccalaureate (IB) PYP program – “Who We Are.” After six weeks of exciting and curiosity-driven exploration, the children presented their projects to their parents with great enthusiasm, sharing their discoveries about identity, relationships, and their understanding of the world.

This theme became a true journey of discovery, during which students delved into what shapes them as individuals, how they are connected to the surrounding world, and the importance of understanding their place in it. It was not only a theoretical but also a practical process, where the children utilized various thinking skills: critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to reflect. Each project was unique, reflecting the children’s individual perspectives and creativity.

Parents were given the opportunity not only to observe the achievements of these young explorers but also to participate in a warm and community-oriented environment. The parents’ coffee morning became an excellent opportunity to meet and share experiences. Parents were able to not only celebrate the children’s accomplishments but also gain a deeper understanding of how important it is to nurture responsible, open-minded, and creative young individuals.

The theme “Who We Are” provided an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the importance of nurturing children who not only possess critical thinking skills but also have the ability to view the world from various perspectives, ask questions, and continuously grow. Each presentation was a true celebration, where the children shared insights and discoveries from their journey, while parents had the chance to feel a part of this fascinating process.

This was just the first step on a long and enriching learning journey. We believe that these experiences will inspire our students to strive for even more, to discover, and to learn with joy and curiosity. The next great challenge awaits our young explorers – the theme “Where We Are.” The students can look forward to even more creativity, expression, and inspiring discoveries!
