Jurgita Steponaitienė
Jurgita’s teaching journey began 28 years ago with… music lessons. J. Steponaitienė graduated from the Balys Dvarionas Music School, specializing in choral conducting. She has collaborated with the “Šviesa” publishing house; her “Reading Diary” is still in circulation and widely used. Jurgita has also created world exploration tasks for gifted children on the digital learning platform “Eduka.”
Jurgita is a primary education teacher-methodologist, a mentor for junior teachers, and an accredited lecturer with the “Thinking School” organization. She earned her leadership competence for the “Parent Group” program at the Institute of Individual Psychology. In her teaching practice, she works with the SEKU program (social-emotional competency development) and gains new experience through a program implemented by the Lithuanian National Olympic Committee.
Jurgita also leads individual activities under “The Path of Self-Expression,” where she collaborates with children and adolescents to create, communicate, explore, and enjoy experiential outdoor activities. She conducts training sessions for school teachers and daycare educators as part of the “I Think, Therefore I Live” series. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Educational Management at Vytautas Magnus University.
