Pre-IBD Programme I Math

Erudito licėjus Preparatory IB programme are designed to provide students of different backgrounds with a rigorous, international and broad education that prepares them for the next stage of their education and the step up to the IB Diploma. The Pre-IBD Program provides students with a high level of foundational knowledge and is linked to the IB Student Profile attributes as well as skills that encourage learners to become harmonious, communicative and inquisitive individuals.

We currently offer a Pre-IBD mathematics course.

Aims of Pre-IBD Programme

  • To ensure students are prepared for the IB Diploma Programme.
  • To ensure students have an understanding of the key subject content and are not disadvantaged in their transition to the IB.
  • To ensure students are able to experience the integrated curriculum in advance of the IB Diploma.
  • To be flexible and suit a range of student needs and requirements.
  • To allow students to integrate with the students in their group.

Pre-IBD Programme subjects

We currently offer a 16-hour International Baccalaureate preparatory math course with a specialist teacher. The mathematics course will be taught in English. After completing this course, students will be able to continue their chosen subject in 11th class, but they will also have the option of choosing other IB subjects.

During the course, students will have the opportunity to repeat the knowledge they have already acquired and understand math concepts in English, as well as deepen their knowledge in arithmetic, geometry and other areas. This program will also help students improve practical research processes, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Evaluation of the IBDP Preparatory Program

At the end of the course, students will take two internal exams, which will be graded by subject teachers.

Course description, exact dates and topics

Subject teacher

The Preparatory Maths course will be taught by Kevin Morice, Head of Mathematics; teacher of IB Maths & TOK/ Kevin is originally from Ireland and has always loved challenges. After studying statistics in France and computer science in Germany, he decided to become a teacher to explore the world along with his passion: numbers were created to help us better understand our lives. Kevin believes that when one door closes in life, another always opens. It is important to look for new doors and not focus on old ones.

In order to register for the Pre-IBD Programme mathematics program you need to fill out the FORM and BUY THE COURSE.

Program time

Math classes will start from 2nd of May and will run until 19th of June every Monday from 3:30 pm. to 5:30 p.m.
